Catching Up With Graham

I’ve been seeing some great live music over the past week. I went down to KCRW for Jessica Lea Mayfield’s Morning Become’s Eclectic session and then saw her perform again that night at The Troubadour. The next night I saw Prince at The Forum which was amazing. He brought out Gwen Stefani and Nikka Costa, but it was Sheila E that blew me away. On Sunday night, just as the Osama Bin Laden story was breaking, I made the hour long drive down to Costa Mesa to see We Are Augustines play with The Boxer Rebellion. It was the last night of their tour together so they let loose and were having a ton of fun. Here’s a picture of one of the more unique pieces of street art that I’ve seen in LA lately.
