New Music From Björk

After being withheld from release to fully realize the record’s potential, we are happy to announce Björk‘s Biophilia is now available! The record is part of an ambitious multi-disciplinary project Björk created to embark a unique multi-media exploration of the universe and its physical forces – particularly where music, nature and technology meet. The project explores these relationships between musical structures and natural phenomena, from the atomic to the cosmic. For Biophilia, Björk decided to embrace new technological tools like the iPad, put together custom-made instruments and use unconvential instruments like a tesla coil to help record and write the music.
