Going For Adds: Bjork’s Biophilia, Brite Futures, and Yael Meyer

Last week, we digitally serviced you the much anticipated album from Björk,Biophilia. The record is her most ambitious effort – using various formats to explore where music, nature and technology meet. Sonically, the record achieves this by offering quaint compositions & celestial harmonies all with sharp and bubbling electronics. On the album, Björk utilized never before used techniques for recording and writing like gravity harps and a gameleste. The result is one the best & most modern releases to date.

Last week we digitally serviced to you new music from Chilean-native, LA-based indie pop singer/songwriter Yael Meyer & pop punkers Brite FuturesYael‘s track, “Fire,” has a stomping latin rhythm & bouncing keyboard with coy vocals laid over it. The two singles from Brite Futures (formerly Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head) prove that, even with the name change, the band still write fun, fast and upbeat songs. Brite Futures will be playing a few shows at CMJ this year so be sure to look out for them if you’re out there next week & contact us if you’d like to set up an interview.
