Chilean-native, LA-based indie pop artist Yael Meyer is releasing her new albumEverything Will Be Alright this week. She’s been writing and performing music since the age of 8 and at 19, released her Rolling Stone Chile Top 50 Album of the Year, Common Ground. Her use of melodica, glockenspiel, piano, accordion, ukulele, and percussion make for a light, indie pop feel that are equal parts Jose Gonzalez & Feist. On Everything Will Be Alright, Meyer takes the sound of her 2009 EP, Heartbeat, and builds on it with a sound she describes as “electro-organic” by laying coy vocals over indie folk and electronic textures.
