Record Store Day: Black Friday Is This Friday!

Every April, Record Store Day brings us special releases from our favorite artists that are only made available at local independent record stores (to see a list of participating stores, click here). For the second year in a row, RSD is encouraging you to support your local independent record store on Black Friday with exclusive releases from aritsts like The Black Keys, Beatles, Iron & Wine, John Cale, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Kings of Leon, Nirvana, Boris and many more. “The holiday season, like it or not, is about to descend. And of course the big kick-off is Black Friday, when everyone shakes off the food coma to head out to the stores and forage for gifts. Once again, we’d like to recommend that one of your stops be your favorite local record store. And once again, we’re happy to announce that a some really kind, cool, impressive artists want you to do the same thing—and they’ve created releases that are only available at those stores this season, to encourage you to head on in and visit. There are indeed some really special pieces here, things that you’ll want to put on your own wish list, and things that you’ll want to wrap up for those you love.”
