Doug Gillard Going For Adds

Doug Gillard‘s presence in the Ohio and New York music scenes is undisputed. During his eight-year career with Guided By VoicesGillard had one solo release, the acclaimed Malamute Jute EP. Once Guided By Voices disbanded in 2004, Gillard was ready to branch out as a solo artist. In 2005 he released Salamander, his first full-length album under his own name. In 2007, Gillard moved to New York, a move that would further intensify his music career. Outside of being a member of both Nada Surf and a Beatles-tribute band Bambi Kino, Gillard released Call from Restricted in 2009. Gillard has now released his third official solo album, Parade On. Notwithstanding his undeniable influence in indie music the past two decade, Parade On is surely one of Gillard‘s most impressive albums to date.

“It’s beaming with the expected unbelievable guitar work that is his trademark, and overall bittersweet pop sounds…”
