Careful – Deconstructed by Consequence of Sound

The new Careful album is an outsider pop record about technological anxiety. The songs are dark, weird, and gentle – in the same way Xiu Xiu or Baths are. Consequence of Sound explained the themes around the concept record stating, “Has anyone ever summed up digital claustrophobia so economically?” The review highlight tracks “Didn’t He Die?” and “Unicorn” and praises Careful mastermind Eric Lindley for his musical and lyrical economy, as some of the effects on the album were built from scratch.
