Black Keys Talk Vinyl – #1 at CMJ!

The Black Keys browsed Grimey’s Record store with CBS to discuss their love of vinyl. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney had grown up with a passion for collecting and listening to different records. With vinyl sales nearly tripling since 2008, Turn Blue has been pressed to 100,000 vinyl copies. The Black Keys have released all 8 of their studio albums on vinyl, making them contributors to the cultural shift in attitude toward vinyl records. Auerbach said, “I don’t believe our record is out until I’m holding it on vinyl.” Watch the full interview here.
