Brazil-native Rodrigo Amarante was invited to perform songs off his delightful release Cavalo on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic last week! Amarante, formerly of Little Joy and Los Hermanos, has finally made his debut as a solo musician, and continues to showcase his effortlessly captivating talent and charm.
Along with performing a batch of songs off his album, Rodrigo Amarante spoke about the motivating forces and inspiration behind his solo debut. Cavalo seems to capture Amarante‘s experience of assuming the role of the foreigner, through leaving what was once familiar and seeing what parts of himself transcended circumstance.
