Nicholas Krgovich – Radio K Weekly Release Spotlight

This week Nicholas Krgovich’s newest album On Sunset is featured on Radio K‘s Weekly Release Spotlight. The “shiny, slick, and goddamned catchy” album is a mix of R&B, soul, and progressive contemporary pop reminiscent of Hall &Oates and Huey Lewis & The News. In addition to a nostalgic and traditional feel is the inclusion of extremely complex orchestration bursting with a “dark Romantic lushness”. The album both lyrically and emotionally captures the feeling of Los Angeles by giving us “a glossy, bubble gum exterior that’s infested with darkness and longing.” Here “Krgovich is at his most soulful” it is “elating to hear his vocal acrobatics”, a range that seems technologically enriched.
