Rose’s Pawn Shop Going for Adds

LA-based quintet Rose’s Pawn Shop delivers a rousing, honest set on their new album Gravity Well, demonstrating exactly why this multi-talented, multi-instrumental fivesome has quickly risen from humble D.I.Y. origins to national notoriety while gaining a fiercely loyal fan base in the process.

Ted Hutt, producer of Gravity Well, is renowned for his work with the likes of the Dropkick Murphys, Gaslight Anthem and Old Crow Medicine Show. The band’s catchy, anthemic songcraft channels the raw emotional power of America’s folk, country and Americana traditions and puts them through a modern filter, creating timelessly resonant music. The ensemble makes innovative use of banjo, fiddle, mandolin and upright bass, while maintaining a lively pace.

While touring on their previous album Dancing on the GallowsRose’s Pawn Shop performed live radio sessions on such prestigious stations as KEXP in Seattle and WMBR in Cambridge. Gravity Well is already seeing spins at radio, including KEXP’s John Richards who played “What Were You Waiting For” on his morning show. The song was deemed the Song of the Day by KCMP – The Current on Thursday, check out the feature here!
