Vogue Magazine Interviews Marianne Faithfull – New Peak at CMJ

Marianne Faithfull is an iconic figure in many respects. Her new album, Give My Love to London, marks her 20th studio album and 50 years of making music. Recently, she also released a photo book entitled Marianne Faithfull: A Life on Record. It includes photos that cover her lifespan, from British Vogue fashion shoots to candid shots in London airports. Along with being an incredibly talented musician and rock ‘n’ roll forebear, (dated Mick Jagger, toured with Roy Orbison, hung out with Bob Dylan and The Beatles to name a few) she is also well-known in the high profile world of fashion. Vogue Magazine spoke with Faithfull about her sprawling, fascinating career. Here they gained insight into her alluring artist persona, her refreshingly raw ways, the writing process for the record (written over a period of 6 months while recovering from a debilitating broken sacrum) and much more. Read the entire feature here where you can also check out an exclusive photoset from Faithfull‘s new photo book.

Marianne Faithfull has hit a new peak on the CMJ Radio 200 chart at #52. Thanks to stations like KCSU, WHRV, WMSE, WNYU, & WUVT for charting Give My Love to London – continue to share this unique album with radio staff and DJs and help keep her high on the charts!
