Lost in Stars Going for Adds

Lost in Stars is the LA-based music project of Dylan Willoughby. The newly released single “Flown” was premeired on Marion Hodges show on KCRW. The track features Willoughby on synths, Alysa Lobo on vocals and Darren Burgos on beats and production. When you hear “Flown”, its hard to place it in a musical era. The production calls to mind the 80s experimentaion of electronic dance music, while Lobo‘s vocals sound like they’re being sung from a 70s disco dance floor.

Dylan is a classically trained pianist and organist, who fell in love with synthesizers and synthpop in the early 80s while staying in London each summer with his relatives. He started recording his own songs in Akron, Ohio on a Fostex 4-track tape recorder in his friend’s bedroom with a rented Yamaha DX-7, inspired by bands like Depeche Mode, Heaven 17, and the Eurythmics.

Lost In Stars is set to realese an EP in 2015, and today we’re offering a glimpse into their sheeny & dynamic forthcoming release with the single “Flown” (download includes “Flown” [instrumental]).
