Sam Amidon – NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert – December Shows

Thank you to all of the stations that have shown support to Sam Amidon’s new album Lily-O! Amidon was recently featured on NPR‘s Tiny Desk Concert with Bob Boilen. Joined by guitarist Bill Frisell, Amidon perfomed “Blue Mountains” & “Pat Do This, Pat Do That” off his new album. NPR said Amidon “takes traditional music and makes it his own” weaving his own songs “into worn, weary, seemingly ageless sagas”. This isn’t the first Amidon has been on NPR. In 1998 when he was just 16, they aired a story about his Vermont contra-dance called Popcorn Behavior that he formed with his friend Thomas Bartlett (Doveman).
