Howlin Rain Going For Adds

Howlin Rain is the longstanding folk-rock project of former Comets On Fire guitarist Ethan Miller. The new album, Mansion Songs, is a product of catharsis and transformation for Miller, coming from a dark and trying place. In Miller‘s words, he wanted the album “to reflect a dignified despair” because often times “that’s what art is; elegant sorrow, pushing through despair with some kind of dignity, in search of a reasonable justification of life.” The result is an album that pines and yearns, lusts and wails. The song “Wild Bush” has been picked up by sites like Stereogum & Consequence of Sound. The song is laced with organs, group sing-song and incredible lead guitar, like “a playful composite of Nick Cave and Blitzen Trapper.”
