New Music From Sam Cohen – Digital Servicing Only

After 10 years of playing with groups like Apollo Sunshine & Yellowbirds and serving as Musical Director for The Complete Last Waltz (Nels Cline, Cass McCombs, Dr. Dog), Sam Cohen is releasing his first solo album, Cool It. The multi-instrumentalist / songwriter applied every facet of his talents on the record, playing almost every single instrument. First track “Let the Mountain Come to You” starts with a quickly ascending guitar that crashes into the opening chords. Spaced out synths and buzzy leads all whirl around each other while Cohen calmly encourages the listener, “Let it come to you.” It’s a retro psych-rock gem culled from Cohen‘s very own bedroom.
