Tigran Hamaysan on NPR’s All Things Considered – Going for Debuts

NPR‘s All Things Considered hosted musician / composer Tigran Hamasyan as a guest to talk about his unique, genre-defying style. On his album, Mockroot, he tries to “use the piano as more of a percussion instrument” rather than melodic. His inspirations range from jazz to Armenian poetry to metal music. He goes further to talk about his Armenian background and how returning to his homeland influenced his new celebrated release. The full conversation can be heard here.

Don’t forget Tigran Hamasyan for your Radio 200 chart this week!
