The Staves Featured on KEXP & KCMP – Noisey Premieres “Black & White” Video – Going for Debuts

The Staves are getting some well-warranted attention after releasing their sophomore album If I Was, which was produced by Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon and is out now from Nonesuch. KEXP featured the album here, calling it a “stunner,” while KCMP wrote here about the making of the album and shared a mini-documentary about its creation in nearby Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The band has released a video for the song “Black & White,” which premiered on Noisey. Directed by Jack Whitely, the surreal video depicts an onscreen break up of two married news anchors and provides what Stereogum called “a surprisingly emotional ride.” Get The Staves on your chart this week!
