Built to Spill Talks Basketball with CoS, Gets Reviewed by the AV Club – #8 at CMJ Radio 200

Consequence of Sound has posted an interview with Built to Spill‘s Doug Martsch. Ostensibly about the band’s new album Untethered Moon, which CoS says is one of the best releases of 2015, and their tour, which is taking the band across North America this summer, the interview mostly focuses on Marstch’s love of basketball. Check it out here to learn why the singer and guitar virtuoso thinks the game is “obviously the best sport.”

The AV Club has a glowing review of Untethered Moon, which takes note of changes to the band’s rhythm section and says “the shake-up seems to have energized Martsch” into making a “looser and more rattling” album than predecessor There is No Enemy. The review compares the band’s story to “the ultimate underdog story” and can be read here.

Built to Spill has made an impact on radio and moved up to #8 on the CMJ Radio 200 this week. The band just started its tour last week and can use more support as they travel around the country!
