LA-based world pop collective Fool’s Gold has been critically acclaimed since their self-titled 2009 debut, but reviewers are saying that new album Flying Lessons is the group’s finest work to date. Stereogum‘s review says that “this album is a complete step forward for the group; their sound is tighter and brighter, more polished even as it settles into deeper grooves” and points listeners to standout tracks “Another Sun” and “I’m in Love.” Read the whole thing, and stream the album, here.

On Thursday, May 21, the band recorded a live session for KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic – their third live set on KCRW. Between songs taken from Flying Lessons, the band members talked to Jason Bentley about the band’s history, the album, their creative process, and much more. Listen here. Flying Lessons debuted at #66 at Radio 200. Help Fool’s Gold reach the top of your top 30 chart on Tuesday!
