Elohim Goes for Adds with “She Talks Too Much”

It’s only been a few short weeks since the Fader premiered the debut single from Los Angeles’ Elohim, but “She Talks Too Much” is already making a global impression. Bloggers around the world have embraced the song’s lush synths, bubbly vocals, and punchy beats, and the song has already been played more than 130,000 times on Soundcloud. Adding to the buzz is the mystery surrounding Elohim, who has so far only allowed herself to be portrayed behind a mask.

This delicious bit of electro-pop, which will be released soon on a 12″ single from B3SCI, is about an annoyingly talkative partygoer, the kind of person who can destroy a good buzz. Unlike its subject, however, “She Talks Too Much” is an infectiously addictive gem that calls for repeated listens.

“It’s a little earworm, all lush, lazy candy, and the chorus melts through a couple of tight burns about that person you know who’ll corner you at a party and tell you everything about a series of imagined haters.”
– Jezebel

“… this is a big, catchy song about someone who will not shut up, and I love the way it goes all liquid on the chorus.”
