AU Review Checks Out Alpine’s “Yuck” – Land New Peak at CMJ

Australian indie-pop group Alpine‘s sophomore release, Yuck, continues to receive praise for its bouncy and bright sound. The AU Review recently gave the LP a glowing review, comparing Yuck to “the musical equivalent of a really well-curated modern art museum.”

Perfectly orchestrated and artfully executed, Yuck sustains its layered and lovely sound through the refined collaboration between vocalists Phoebe Baker and Lou James. The AU Review attributes much of the album’s strength to the vocal interplay between the two, which is bolstered by the melodic hooks sprinkled throughout the album. “[Yuck is] really lovely indie club kid pop music,” the reviewer concludes. Read the rest of the review here. Yuck jumped up to #44 at CMJ, shout-out to stations like WRMC, KPUR, WDWN, and KTUH for debuting it this week!
