Philthy Mag and Nooga.com Feature Lael Neale

Philthy Mag has an in-depth interview feature with Lael Neale, the Virginia-born LA transplant whose debut album I’ll Be Your Man is full of ruminative, melancholic, and gorgeous folk tunes. Writer Izzy Cihak wrote the profile, and opens by telling readers that Neale is “one of my favorite people I’ve met in 2015.” Check out the feature here to learn about her songwriting process, how she prepares for live shows, and why she often turns to literature – rather than music – for inspiration.

The album’s hooky single, “Born in the Summer,” has also been featured by Nooga.com in its “Notes from Left of the Dial” column. “Neale is a storyteller,” the site states, “and whether that narrative is told through song, poetry or other conduit, she never allows the process to distance herself from her audience.” Read more, and hear the song, here.

I’ll Be Your Man made its debut on the CMJ Radio 200 last week. Help it climb the charts by getting it in rotation at your station.
