Vetiver Debuts “Current Carry” on the 405

Vetiver, which wraps up a short jaunt with Wilco tomorrow night in Salt Lake City before heading over to Europe in September for a month-long tour, also has a new video.

Taken from this year’s Complete Strangers LP, “Current Carry” is a rolling, relaxing tune that the 405 describes as “a gently breezing summer accouterment popping with acrobatic bass, carefree strummed guitar uplifting alongside solo melodies winding through it all infused with tremolo and other effects besides.” The video is also nicely summery, featuring hazy imagery of rides up the California coast and culminating in a sparkler party on the beach. “I hope you’re ready for bit of mellow delight,” the 405’s Russell Thomas writes in the site’s premiere of the video, “because that’s just what you’ll get.” Check out the premiere here.
