Young Empires Debut “Uncover Your Eyes” on Billboard, Share Video Faves with MuchMusic, Seek CMJ Peak

Young Empires is on a roll, hitting a new CMJ peak last week with debut album The Gates while also wrapping up a September-long tour of North America. The trio recently debuted “Uncover Your Eyes,” the triumphantly anthemic closer to The Gates, with Billboard. Bassist Jake Palahnuk told the magazine, “The song is about personal demons and looking within one’s self to overcome internal struggles and challenges. The idea of shutting and opening ‘eyes’ is symbolic of this. ‘Eyes’ are the gateway to the soul, so they say.” Hear it here.
