On Jacob Snider‘s debut album Carrier, he takes full advantage of the boundlessness that comes with being a young, unknown artist to paint an alluring, winding picture. To accomplish this, Snider enlists multi-instrumentalist Armand Hirsch to use handclaps, marxophone, banjo, and more to create a lilting but lively backdrop. As Twisted Soul put it, “It’s a fine introduction into what this singer/songwriter, has to offer. I see a bright future ahead for Snider.” The site highlighted Carrier for their “Releases You May Have Missed” feature. Check it out here.
The album’s ensemble cast also includes producer Tony Berg (Beck, Fiona Apple, Blake Mills), and strings performed by Rob Moose (Bon Iver, Ben Folds). Share the album with fans of Dirty Projectors and Sufjan Stevens.
