Lithuania Get Some Hometown Love from Philly’s WXPN, The Deli; On Tour with Beach Slang

“It’s really exciting for me not to be sitting down,” Dr. Dog drummer Eric Slick told Philadelphia’s WXPN about his role playing guitar and singing in his current garage rock project, Lithuania. “My whole life I’ve been sitting down, and now I’m like wait, I can move around? No wonder people like to do this!” Slick and his bandmate Dom Angelella (DRGN King) talked to their hometown radio station this summer before the release of their new album Hardcore Friends, detailing a history of hardcore friendship that dates back to their freshmen year in jazz school. According to WXPN, the new album is “some of the hookiest, propulsive punk songwriting the guys have offered.” Read all about it here.

The album was also the Deli Philadelphia‘s September 2015 Album of the Month. According to the review, which you can read here, the album “fuses punk-rock attitude and assertiveness with a resounding melodic pop sensibility. The energy and emotion are palpable.”

The band still have about a half dozen dates opening for Beach Slang remaining – catch them live at one of these shows:

11/17 – Mohawk – Austin, TX
11/18 – Double Wide – Dallas, TX
