Ghettoblaster and Already Heard Feature Lithuania, New Album Reaches New CMJ Peak

Ghettoblaster recently posted an interview with Eric Slick, the drummer of Dr. Dog who is playing in Lithuania with his longtime friend Dom Angelella of DRGN King. Lithuania, which is currently finishing up a tour with Beach Slang, released their debut album Hardcore Friends earlier this year. Slick explained, “The theme of the record is loose, but it’s a chronological narrative of our deep friendship and the difficulties we’ve had in situations. I read the lyrics the other night and I was shocked at how on the nose some of it is. In my mind, the songs are like letters being written back and forth between me and Dom.” Read the interview here.

Already Heard gave Hardcore Friends a strong review, comparing it favorably to other records that share its sonic palette. “You cannot go a single day without another band playing dirty, grunge-influenced punk rock jumping out at you, wrote Rob Mair, “but just when you think you’re fed up to the back teeth with it all, a band like Lithuania comes along and reminds you just how exciting it can be when it’s done right.” Read the review, here and check out the embedded video for “God in Two Persons,” below.

Hardcore Friends lept into the Top 100 on the CMJ Radio 200 last week with a big spike in support; help propel it to a new peak!
