The Donkeys Go For Adds with “Down the Line”

Last year, the Donkeys delighted audiences with Ride the Black Wave, an LP that the AllMusic Guide said would make listeners “feel like they’ve been laying out in the sun all day, warm in the glow of the Donkeys’ heartfelt love for all things Cali, complete with the sound of washing waves and seagull cries.” Now the band is back with “Down the Line,” the first release from a mini-album called Midnight Palms that they’re readying for release early next year. The new single picks up where the band left off, conjuring an easy-breezy feeling that Paste Magazine likens to “the sonic equivalent of aimless driving through the Hollywood Hills.” For those who are lamenting the coming of winter, listening to “Down the Line” is a great way to hold onto that fleeting fall glow. Check it out here.

“The Donkeys have one of the chillest, coolest sounds you’re likely to find outside of a Jicks record… Their sound is pretty astounding to fans of sun, relaxation and chiming guitars.” -The Line of Best Fit
