St. Germain, a Favorite of 2015 at KCRW, is Reviewed by Clash Music

Thanks to all of the stations around North America who made 2015 such a great year for St. Germain and who have helped the Coachella-bound artist off to a great start in 2016 on the New World, RPM, and Radio 200 charts! One station where his self-titled album really resonated – and reached Number One – was Santa Monica’s world-renowned KCRW. Five members of the station’s highly-respected staff, including music director and Morning Becomes Eclectic host Jason Bentley as well as Tom Schnabel, Garth Trinidad, Jeremy Sole, and Aaron Byrd, listed the record amongst their Top Ten of last year. Thanks to them, and thanks also to their compatriots Anne Litt and Jason Kramer for listing Lianne La HavasBlood and Ariana Morgenstern for listing Vetiver‘s Complete Strangers! Look at all the lists here.

Fans of the record, as well as those who have yet to check it out, will enjoy reading Clash Music‘s review. Noting that the artist has a significant and long history of producing hugely popular music, they add, “The signature softly-keyed, Franco-global instrumentation here is so rich… Licks, riffs and swirls will find a kick drum when they’re absolutely ready, …eventually reaching pure St Germain impact.” Read the whole thing here.
