The Current Features the Pines as “Song of the Day;” Above the Prairie Debuts at CMJ as the Band Tours

“Hanging From the Earth,” a standout song from The Pines new album Above the Prairie, was honored with a pick as the Current’s Song of the Day on February 4. It’s the second time that the Current, which is Minnesota’s home for public radio content, has featured a song from the album: indeed, the station was responsible for premiering lead single “Aerial Oceans” last year. And it’s no wonder the station loves The Pines, as they’re not only Minnesota-based but deeply engrossed in the sounds, feelings, and inspirations of the Midwestern United States.
