Stereogum has a premiere of “Christmas Night,” the second single from The Cave Singers‘ new Banshee LP. Though it’s now springtime, the site says that this is “one of those Christmas songs that works for all seasons, more about the emotions surrounding the event than ol’ Saint Nick himself, and the Seattle rockers recount one of those nights with the appropriate amount of regret.” Read the rest of the feature here.
The band also has a new video for the song, which features a collection of still images of The Cave Singers having a great time and enjoying each other’s company while traveling around North America and the world. Though the photography in the video doesn’t actually move, the band employs the Ken Burns Effect to great effect. Watch it below:
