The Verge And Thump Announce Star Wars Headspace

Star Wars Headspace, the Rick Rubin-produced electronic music collection that let beatmakers like Flying Lotus, Rustie, Röyksopp, GTA, and Baauer go wild with samples taken from the Star Wars franchise, was recently featured in the Verge. Thump also had praise for the Flying Lotus track, called “R2 Where R U?” The site wrote that the track “barrel-rolls and warps with the best of his roiling output, and demonstrates a return to the sort of wobbly beats he hasn’t made since the Pattern + Grid World EP.” Read the feature here.
