Stereo Embers and Echoes.org Love All India Radio

Stereo Embers has high praise for The Slow Light, calling All India Radio‘s new LP the work of “genius” that runs the gamut “from the eerie to the spectral, dewy to Saharan, [a] sunrise to dead of night” while instantly enveloping readers in a manner that “reflexively provokes flights of flailing journalistic poetry.” Comparing the song “Can You Hear The Sound” to “New Order in a meditative trance so deep they emerge on the other end transformed into pure light,” reviewer Dave Cantrell praises producer Martin Kennedy‘s poise and “meticulous dedication” to crafting the calming intensity of The Slow Light. Listening to the album, the reviewer claims, led him to start “tripping along inside a tumbling spell of dreamlike evocations and cinematic glimpses,” leading him to “the most sublime, mindful stupors I believe I’ve ever been in.” Whoa. Echoes.org is similar in its love of the album, which it awarded as Album of the Month for April 2016. The LP “will do a slow burn into your soul,” the site says, calling Kennedy a “master of mood and texture” and noting the album’s aural connection to the works of use of Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, The KLF and Ry Cooder. Check out the review, which also includes embeds from The Slow Light, here.

The Slow Light is aiming for a big debut week at Radio 200!
