Under The Radar and Stereogum Praise Rogue Wave; Delusions Of Grand Fur Looks For a Strong Debut

Rogue Wave‘s Delusions of Grand Fur “is an unqualified triumph,” writes Under the Radar in a recent review. “Three years after 2013’s sparser, more tentative Nightingale Floors,” the site says, “Rogue Wave come roaring back with an album that reasserts them as major, albeit under-recognized, players in the world of 21st century indie rock.” The review compares the new work to classic Rogue Wave albums of the past, while noting how it balances mature subject matter with humor. Stereogum has the premiere of the first single from the album, “What Is Left To Solve,” which it says “reverberates with a sense of urgency thanks to a fast bass line and steady drums.” Marking the song as a bit of a departure for the band, Stereogum notes how it pushes their sound in a new wavy, krautrock-inspired direction. Delusions of Grand Fur was the 5th Most Added at CMJ earlier this week and is aiming for a strong debut next week at Radio 200. Make sure it’s available for your DJs!
