The So So Glos Stream Album, Feed the Street, and Hit the Road

The AV Club is streaming Kamikaze, the new album from The So So Glos that the site says “is its most dynamic batch of songs yet.” In addition to the stream, the feature includes a quote from bandleader Aleksander So So Glo, who illuminates the lyrical inspirations behind the disc: “Extreme times call for extreme measures. Lyrically it’s very wordy and almost hip hop in delivery. It uses spirituality, sarcasm & metaphoric ‘verbal shotgun shells’ as ammunition. It’s also a party drink, so drink up & enjoy.” Get your dose of bratty, socially-conscious pop punk right here.

Recently, the boys in the Glos put their social consciousness on display with a Youtube video called “Feed the Street.” The band, who’ve been recipients of Taco Bell‘s “Feed the Beat” program for touring musicians, decided to turn the corporate sponsorship on its head by donating all of their free tacos to the homeless in New York City. Check it out here.
