Fruit Bats Play For Paste, Are Reviewed By AllMusic

Fruit Bats, whose album Absolute Loser is currently sitting at #6 on the CMJ Radio 200, recently showed up at the Paste Magazine studios to perform three songs from the album in a quaint, stripped-down setting. Enjoy their “eerie, otherworldly sound” by watching the session, here.

According to AllMusic, the album is “dominated by an energetic wistfulness and sweet melodicism” and “carries a jangle-rich, full-band presence.” The album is the first from Fruit Bats in five years, and AllMusic writes that this “solidly crafted song set” will not only satisfy long-waiting fans, but serve “as good an entry point as any for potential admirers.” Read the review here.
