Interview interviews Coast Modern

Interview magazine recently posted a long Q&A with Coast Modern, a band that makes “songs [that] contain much more than meets the eye.” Asked to describe the duo’s sound, Luke Atlas told the magazine, “It’s like being in the rainforest looking for a jungle temple and stumbling across the LaCroix fountain of youth.” According to his bandmate Coleman Trapp, that exotic sound is only part of what makes Coast Modern so good. “We’ve had a conversation about how good music is at connecting people,” he says, “but what is it connecting people to? When you listen to music it pulls you into this world, but a lot of times there’s nothing on the other side… I think our music and our ethos is beyond just the music; it’s a culture.” Read the entire interview here.

Coast Modern’s three-song, radio-only EP was delivered digitally to radio last month, and it’s as good as your favorite flavor of LaCroix. Get it in rotation now!
