Paste Praises All The Real Girls, Who Are Looking For CMJ Chart Momentum This Week

In its recent review of All The Real Girls‘ excellent debut Elk City, Paste Magazine was quite effusive. On the album’s title track, the magazine says, “you get a faint glimmer of what makes All the Real Girls so special.” Comparing bandleader Peter Donovan to Conor Oberst and Elliott Smith, Paste says the album features a “richness of storytelling” and that its songs “make you sit up a little and wonder about the themes about love and loss.” The music is also “expertly crafted,” says Paste, buoyed by the gorgeous guitar work of Build To Spill’s Jim Roth. Listen to the track “Elk City” below and read the review here.

Roth isn’t the only all-star member of All The Real Girls, which also features members of Death Cab For Cutie, the Long Winters, and Pell Mell. Elk City recently made its debut on the CMJ Radio 200, and now it’s looking for a big boost of momentum to help it move up the charts. Get it spinning right away!
