MXDWN Loves Slow Hollows, Their New Record is Fifth Most Added at CMJ

MXDWN has a review of Slow Hollows’ Romantic, which contends that the album “combines nostalgia, lo-fi, and pop” to sound “familiar and new all at the same time… It’s all music that has been done and exhausted before, [but] Slow Hollows take on the genres is refreshing…”

“Romantic is everything one would hope and imagine an indie album to sound like,” the review continues, with comparisons to both the 1980s and Ryan Adams. “It’s filled with dreamy choruses, lyrics of self-doubt and feeling misunderstood and the occasional saxophone solo.” According to MXDWN, Slow Hollows has what it takes to avoid “slipping into oblivion like so many other indie rock groups.” Read the full review here.

Romantic was the fifth most added at CMJ yesterday, with Adds from KALX, KUMD, WUOG, WCSF, WIPZ, and more! Get it spinning with you now.
