Dude York, Seeking a New NACC Peak, Gets Props From The Seattle Times

The Seattle Times describes Dude York‘s sound as “hefty, hooky-rock” in a recent feature previewing their local record release show for new album Sincerely, which the paper calls “a payoff for what’s long been one of the city’s hardest-working bands.” After positing that Indie Rock has been in a rut for a while, the Times writes that “bands like Dude York, alongside Mitski, Angel Olsen or Hardly Art label mates Tacocat and Chastity Belt, seem like the most likely way forward: rock music that touches on modern concerns, is forthright instead of vague and offers perspectives other than the male gaze.” Read the feature here.

Sincerely is picking up steam at radio, jumping all the way to #11 in its third week on the NACC charts. We think this Hardly Art band still has room to move up, so help us propel this record even higher on this week’s chart!
