PopMatters Streams The Builders and The Butchers

In the lead up to the release of the new LP from The Builders and The Butchers, The Spark, PopMatters put up a stream of the record in its entirety last week. The site notes that the band has “a stellar reputation as high-energy, consummate live performers, playing festivals like Sasquatch and Lollapalooza,” and the new record is “one of the best folk rock, indie folk records of the year so far.” According to the site, “the band doses their folk rock with a sense of urgency through energetic performances that draw from punk rock roots,” and The Spark is a thoroughly worthwhile listen.
