According to Fretboard Journal, “Sam Amidon is, quite simply, one of our favorite musicians. Amidon has a new album, The Following Mountain, which is his first record of original compositions. He’s also one of the featured vocalists (along with Natalie Merchant, Rhiannon Giddens, and Olivia Chaney) on Kronos Quartet‘s excellent Folk Songs LP.
