Tom Tom Mag Talks with L.A. Witch’s Ellie English – KEXP Features “Baby In Blue Jeans”

Tom Tom Mag, a fantastic webzine focusing on “drummers, music, and feminism,” calls L.A. Witch “psychedelic, haunting, swirling, hazy, [and] intoxicating… The moment the needle hits their self-titled debut, there’s a time warp to a familiar unknown.” The band has just completed a US tour, and Tom Tom talked to drummer Ellie English about touring, their musical inspirations, and dental hygiene. According to English, the band members’ common musical influence is Black Sabbath. Read the full interview, which includes an embed of a live performance, here.

L.A. Witch’s self-titled album continues to see lots of airplay. The album has been charting in the Top 100 at NACC for months. KEXP recently featured L.A. Witch’s “Baby In Blue Jeans” as their Song of the Day and the track is also featured in the newest KEXP Music That Matters Podcast. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting the band.
