CHAPPO Tours with The Flaming Lips

CHAPPO, whose new album DO IT arrives later this month, has been tapped to open for The Flaming Lips on a string of March dates through the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. It’s not the first time the band has done that, either. In a recent interview with Bedford and Bowery, singer Alex Chappo explained how The Lips’ energy inspired them on a tour the bands did together with Mac Demarco last fall, saying the “crazy show they put together that just is this insane live spectacle. We thought, ‘You know what, this is the perfect time to just try these new songs, a new audience, and we feel really good about them. These songs were kind of written to be played live.'” Read the whole thing here.
