Sonny Smith Talks Art With KQED

KQED has an in-depth profile of Tour, the new visual art show by Sonny Smith. On display through March 31 at Gallery 16 in San Francisco, the show is “a bit raunchy, a bit pessimistic, but mostly whimsical and fun” — just like the jams on Smith’s upcoming album Rod For Your Love. That album, produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, is out March 2 via Easy Eye Sound and is being teased with the rad advance singles “Burnin’ Up” (featuring Angel Olsen) and “Pictures Of You.” Both the songs are at radio now.
