Flood Shares Sonny Smith

Flood has the premiere of the video for “Pictures Of You,” the lead track on Sonny Smith‘s new album Rod For Your Love. The record was produced by Dan Auerbach, but Flood contends that the song “suggests Black Lips more than Black Keys, as the jangling guitars and breezy melodies lift the peculiarly linear two-and-a-half minute track to heights previously unreached by Smith. Despite his newly adopted no-frills songwriting mentality, ‘Pictures’ somehow sounds brighter than the majority of Smith’s preceding discography” as Sonny and The Sunsets. Check out the video here.

Rod For Your Love had a strong NACC debut this week and is aiming for a new peak next week. “Pictures Of You” is but one of the killer tracks on the new release.
