Rishi Dhir of MIEN, Set To Perform Levitation, Speaks To The Montreal Gazette

MIEN‘s self-titled debut album opens with a rush of sitar, provided by bandmember Rishi Dhir (also of Elephant Stone). Dhir, one-fourth of the international dark psych supergroup, was recently profiled by the Montreal Gazette. It’s an interesting piece, not only because Dhir is an interesting guy but because MIEN came to existence in an unconventional manner. According to Dhir, “This thing is more than just the sum of its parts. It’s kind of made up of leftover (ideas) from all of our bands, made into something much greater than it could have been.”
