The Magnetic Fields Perform On WNYC

The Magnetic Fields’ Stephin Merritt and cellist Sam Davol recently performed on New Sounds’ Soundcheck on WNYC, playing songs from the five-disc 50 Song Memoir as well as a couple of classics from 69 Love Songs and Distant Plastic Trees. Additionally, Merritt spoke with host John Schaefer about 50 Song Memoir, which was released last year on Nonesuch to much critical acclaim. Watch their Soundcheck set right here.
