Caetano Veloso On NPR This Sunday

NPR’s Jacki Lyden will interview Caetano Veloso this Sunday, April 25, on Morning Edition. If you’re unfamiliar with the Bob Dylan of Brazil this would be a good introduction to one of the founders of the Tropicalismo movement.

Caetano Veloso’s zii e zie, his 41st full-length and winner of a Latin Grammy in 2009 for Best Singer-Songwriter album, should be at your station now and hopefully you’ve had a chance to listen to it. Caetano Veloso has been called “one of the greatest songwriters of the century” so it’s definitely worth your time to check this out.
